5 Fall Color Trends We’re Wearing on Repeat for 2025

While vibrant green is most often associated with spring and summer—it’s the same color as fresh grass and budding leaves, after all—we’re more excited to style it for fall. Bally, Prada, and Saint Laurent all showed variations of the shade in this season’s shows, and we spotted tons of it at Copenhagen Fashion Week. (Brat summer never ends.) We recommend you lean into texture here, whether it’s sheer organza, slick nylon, fuzzy cashmere, or soft suede. Ground it with black, brown, and denim blue.

When in doubt, go with gray. This season’s preeminent shade is a relatively light, wispy gray, as seen at Khaite and Calvin Klein. It’s right for pretty much any occasion, associated as much with corporate attire as with sweatpants. The color pairs well with everything in your closet, although you might just want to pile it on; these days, all-gray outfits read as luxe and expensive rather than lazy. (There’s a reason it’s a cornerstone of the whole stealth-wealth look.) Start with a sweater and matching trousers or a knit skirt, either for the office or a dinner date.
Pairs well with: White, black, chocolate brown, purple, tomato red
