Sobhita Dhulipala’s burnt orange anarkali with shararas feels borrowed from the ’90s

At actor Akhil Akkineni’s wedding festivities in Hyderabad, Sobhita Dhulipala wore a rust orange ensemble that was a contemporary take on the classic anarkali, with flared sharara-style trousers instead of the typical churidar.

The anarkali’s scoop-necked bodice was decorated with uniformly scattered gold drops on the yoke, and floral gota work on the full-length sleeves. Its voluminous flare was enhanced by a centred slit that showcased the gota-covered sharara pants—a contrast to the mostly solid anarkali. Her dupatta, lightly draped across her neck, had gold scallops embroidered on its hem.
For jewellery, Dhulipala opted for a kundan maang tikka, diamond jhumkas and stacked gold bangles on either hand. Her makeup was bold: defined brows, thick eyeliner and muted orange lips on a dewy base.
