Dove’s New Collection Will Make You Feel Like a Jane Austen Heroine

Could I interest you in a garden tea party? We don’t actually have to sip tea or hang out in a garden, if you don’t want to. Instead, maybe we could read romance novels in the air conditioning? And get iced oat milk strawberry matcha lattes? (That’s still tea, technically.) Before we go, I’ll shower with some Honeysuckle Gardenia body wash and scrub to set the tone of the hang a little more.

On Monday, June 30, Dove is launching a limited-edition collection featuring a lineup of its beloved body care products in four new, lush and romantic scents. Ahead, discover everything there is to know about the Garden Tea Party Collection so you can continue your ethereal girl summer in full force.

The Inspiration

Dove describes the new collection as a fragrance-forward body care range that was inspired by springtime soirees and garden rituals.

“This whimsically romantic lineup features four scents that bring playful reverie to your seasonal beauty routine,” the brand shared in a press release. “Dove Garden Tea Party is a spring soiree of radiant floral fragrance with a gourmand touch.”

You know the scene in Princess Diaries 2 when Mia is strolling through the gardens, debating her romantic future? That’s what these products make me think of. Or something the heroine in a Jane Austen novel would love! (Sadly, Jane Austen herself never got to experience Dove—the brand was founded in the 1950s and she died in the 1800s. Still… maybe one of her characters can garden party via their body care lineup in a new adaptation? We’re looking at you, Daisy Edgar-Jones.)

The Scents

The collection includes four scents: Velvet Fig Bloom (think rich fig, blooming lilac, and spun sugar) English Pear Blossom (crisp pear, soft florals, and citrus), Rose Berry Bouquet (wild rose, raspberry, and sugared vanilla), and Honeysuckle Gardenia (gardenia, honeysuckle, bergamot).

Each scent will be available as a body wash, body scrub, four-pack of Beauty Bar soaps, and antiperspirant deodorant.

“Each is designed for petal-soft, radiant-looking skin and evokes the feeling of a perfect day spent strolling through blooming gardens and sipping tea beneath the trees,” added the brand.
