Charli XCX’s Classic Wedding Nails Really Aren’t ‘Brat’ At All

One thing we all know about Charli XCX is that she is… so cool. With that being said, I didn’t expect her to wear neon green nails to her wedding. That doesn’t sound cool, it sounds like posturing; the signature shade has its time and place, and she knows that.

If you wore Brat green nails to your wedding, I apologize. I’m sure your reasons were sincere. But if you were thinking about it…maybe don’t do it? There are many other ways to channel Mr. and Mrs. XCX and their perfect nuptials, including copying the bride’s naked French manicure.

Over the weekend, Charli married her longtime love and the muse behind every TikTok “Geooooorge” compilation video you’ve ever seen: The 1975’s George Daniel. Their intimate ceremony took place in London and came complete with some post-ceremony celebratory street-side Italian dining and a reception rave.

Keeping the low-key and effortlessly cool bridal energy going, the star opted for an ultra-classic “naked” French manicure complete with a nude base and the softest of soft white tips for the special day. The art was so expertly done you might think her nails hadn’t been touched at all, but a glossy top coat gave it away.

As for the dress, the bride wore a white Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder mini alongside matching bridal Jimmy Choo slingback pumps and a pair of black sunglasses. Her famous black hair was worn down in simple, natural waves, middle parted and affixed with a white veil to really drive the theme home.

Later, she swapped the structured piece for another mini: a flowy, long-sleeved Saint Laurent number.

She couldn’t be any cooler, and this wedding couldn’t be any chicer. That’s what marriage is all about, you know. Not the lime green nails, just making sure the vibes are as Brat as can be.
