Travis Kelce’s Taylor Swift Post Included a Romantic Detail You Probably Missed

On July 24, Travis Kelce celebrated Folklore’s five-year anniversary by hard-launching Taylor Swift on his Instagram feed.

Okay, Kelce may not have been aware of the date’s significance but the fact remains that Swifties were delighted by a slew of new photos with his girlfriend of two years (and some other members of his close circle of friends and family). “Had some adventures this offseason,” he wrote in the caption. “Kept it 💯.” You can see all the pics here.

“The best hard launch instagram has ever seen 🚀🚀🚀,” one fan commented, while another wrote, “This feels so normal??? A man posting a photo dump including his girlfriend. I love it.”

After the initial squeals and giggles, Taylor Swift fans immediately got to work, combing all seven photos of Swift for outfit details and clues about their relationship status. One fan suggested that the pair’s matching “Captain” and “Best Mate” caps “screams bachelor/bachelorette party” after Sarah Chapelle dutifully identified every item worn by the pop star on her @taylorswiftstyled Instagram account. For what it’s worth, I don’t think Swift would identify as the “First Mate” at her own bachelorette or engagement party, though you can purchase a similar set on Amazon for $23.95 if you’re in the market.

But there was one romantic detail fans may have missed while tracking down her Dôen crochet top or LoveShackFancy skirt set (which is, unfortunately, sold out). Allow me to draw your attention to slide three.

No, I’m not asking you to note the ultra-millennial poses or the Chrome Hearts glasses Swift surely borrowed off someone for the sake of the snap. In the bottom-left corner of slide three, you can see Kelce’s lock screen is yet another photo of him and Swift. Yes, he actually posted eight photos with his partner, not seven. And one of them is the pic he looks at every time he takes out his phone!
