Let Anne Hathaway’s Red Highlights Be Your Fall Hair Inspo

While we have a long way to go before The Devil Wears Prada‘s highly anticipated sequel lands in theaters, “Who is Andy Sachs in the year 2025?” is a question that’s already garnered a ton of hot takes. That’s what happens when your movie is filmed on the streets of Manhattan—we can see the character’s costumes, which makes us think we can see her.

After sparking debate with an all-white barrel jeans, tee, and pumps outfit the other day (“too boring!!” some screamed while others bit back that the look was perfect for a clued-in editor on the move), Anne Hathaway was back on set Monday with a new look for fans to pick apart.

This time, it’s her hair that’s the main talking point. And whether or not you like the spoilers, I’m sure we can agree it’s nice to see this look prior to our fall hair appointments.

In the new photos, Hathaway is dressed in a pinstriped navy maxi dress covered with a buttoned-up red waistcoat. While the dress would be cute on its own, the color of the suit vest serves a very important purpose: highlighting the also-red highlights in the actress’s long, dark hair.

Though Hathaway’s classic brunette shade stands strong, the auburn strands faming her face are hard to miss. Her hair is styled in bouncy curls, the way a colorist might work them post-appointment to get the perfect photo of their work. Ultimately, the warm streaks are nicely blended but still able to pop for the kind of “did you do something different?” moment everyone dreams about post-salon.

Besides her fresh dye job, Hathaway’s outfit was accessorized with an array of necklaces (she’s been wearing a certain pearl piece around the clock) and knee-high boots. She clutched a to-go cup of coffee that could belong to the actress or the character.

The hair, though? That has to be an Andy move. I guess we’ll find out why she dyed it next May. Please oh please let there be a makeover scene.
