The Trend

In the spring we had prize ribbons to affix to our blouses, but the warm months call for florals. Sex and the City-inspired corsages were actually first revived circa 2023, but this return might be even more powerful.

While The RealReal’s floral brooch stock is dwindling as our love for all things Y2K continues to flourish, but there are still plenty of great options out there. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen numerous influencers, Courtney Grow and Devon Lee Carlson included, step out in Tory Burch’s tank with a removable flower pin. (They keep the accessory firmly attached. Wouldn’t you?)

The Inspiration

Carrie’s famous blue Chanel silk flower pin was first spotted during Season 3, Episode 2 of Sex and the City. She’d just broken up with Big (for the second time), and stylist Patricia Field once told The New York Daily News that the bloom was meant to symbolize spring and the possibility of new love.

“Of course, everybody remembers the flower from the show,” Field shared. As the season went on, most outfits featured some tulle-y floral decor. It was a whole thing.

And Just Like That saw the return of the accessory, and now it’s about to be everywhere. Ahead, discover some of our favorite floral pins that you can affix to your tank and make all your Carrie closet dreams come true.
