Like I mentioned, the standout feature of these containers is their materials. The base is BPA-free borosilicate glass, while the lid combines durable tempered glass with silicone for an airtight seal. Silicone is a preferred option to standard plastic, according to food scientists, because its chemical makeup is more stable and less likely to release microplastics over time. While that’s all fine and dandy, the containers still needed to perform well in my kitchen.
