Bored of boho skirts? Make way for these 5 boho trouser trends

Sitting at my desk, enjoying a quick scroll on Instagram (in the name of research) I found myself hovering over a picture of Glamour’s very stylish European fashion editor wearing a pair of… well, at the time I couldn’t quite remember the name for them. With the word on the tip of my tongue, I put the question to the rest of the Vogue Shopping desk. I was met with vacant stares when I described the trousers as “long bloomers” and “hippie trousers with a peplum hem,” however my code-breaking colleagues soon reminded me that they are, in fact, called pantaloons.

I’d recently spotted these “pantaloons” on a few well-dressed friends and decided it was about time I found some for myself. Then the mystical Google algorithm – that always know what I’m looking for before I do – threw up a number of variations on the theme, including harem pants, crochet trousers and printed capris.

While boho skirts and dresses are fun for the moment, what will we do when September rolls around? Enter: boho trousers. Free-spirited, easy to style and, most importantly, comfortable, they are the answer to our transeasonal styling struggles, helping us to bridge the gap between summer and autumn without abandoning our Chloé-coded aesthetic.
