Brie Larson Got a “Twiggy Blonde” Pixie Cut

Brie Larson Got a "Twiggy Blonde" Pixie Cut

Key Takeaways

  • Brie Larson showed off a brand-new, luminous blonde hair color in a recent Instagram post.
  • The colorist behind the transformation was Jacob Schwartz, who dubbed it “Twiggy Blonde.”

Brie Larson has been rocking short hair since last fall, when she cut her long blonde locks for her namesake role as Elektra in the Duke of York’s Theatre production of the time-tested Sophocles play.

At the time, celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz helped her get into character with a dark hair color. But what’s summer about? Lightening up! Especially when you don’t have to think about Greek tragedies for a bit.

Now that the play’s over, Schwartz helped the actress get back to her literal roots with a glam blonde hair color. Paired with the pixie cut and Larson’s classic beauty, the shade is fully giving Twiggy—and that’s exactly what the colorist named it. Twiggy blonde.

Bright and golden, a good word to describe the color is “luminous.” Though there’s not much surface area to work with given the cropped cut, it has a light source all its own.

She premiered the look in an Instagram post alongside a fairy emoji. A nod to another lookalike, Tinkerbell, perhaps?

How to Get the Look

Schwartz is a Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Hair Color Trend Ambassador, which means he certainly knows his way around the brand’s collection of products. This time, he used a combination of Schwarzkopf Professional’s Igora Royal Highlifuit and BLONDME Premium Lightener 9+, finishing with finished with an Igora Vibrance 10-1 gloss.

“The radiant shade strikes the perfect balance—modern and confident, with a subtle nod to retro glamour—making it one of the season’s standout transformations,” shared the brand in a press release.

It girls come and It girls go. But an It hair color? It’s mod and modern at the exact same time.
