On Monday, July 7, Cardi B attended the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week. Sitting in the front row with the girlies (that would be Dua Lipa and Hunter Schafer), she showed off a brand-new bob that—while probably faux—is sure to provide endless summer hair inspiration for the drama-forward masses.

Coming in right at jaw length, Cardi’s bob curved slightly inward with sharp ends and major structure.
The 32-year-old’s hair was done by Mia Jackson, also known as @tokyostylez. For the look, she kept the rapper’s natural dark hair color and worked the short strands into a deep, sweeping side part. The top of the hair was gelled down nice and tight—slick, shiny, and sure to stay put.

Though I wouldn’t put it past this hair chameleon to go in for a big chop (especially with a new album on the way), I’m almost certain the style is a wig. Jackson is an expert at the form, which is awesome for Cardi and sad for anyone else that wants to go short without major commitment.

Cardi B’s Paris Fashion Week Schedule
The glam setup apparently got started early. “Sooo tired,” wrote Cardi over an Instagram story as a hand, probably Jackson’s, played with her long locks. While the rapper’s long hair got ready to be tucked away, the stylist said she probably got four hours of sleep in the last 72 hours. Cardi got six.
“That’s why I don’t want to hear no complaining.” the mom of three said. “I’m working my ass off.”
But what’s there to complain about? Her hair and Erika La’ Pearl crafted makeup are perfect as usual. Maybe she is the drama, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
