Mother daughter time is so, so precious no matter the circumstance. But mother-daughter red carpet time at glamorous event honoring Armani Beauty? I’ve never experienced that rush, but I can only imagine it’s extra special.

Last week, Naomi Watts and her daughter, Kai Schreiber, spent a night out in New York City to celebrate Armani Beauty’s Luminous Silk Collection. The event was held at Twenty-Three Grand in Soho and featured a set by DJ Gilly Chan and plenty of gorgeous glam looks courtesy of the attendees.

The blonde beauties, for their part, chose dewy looks that featured pink blush and heavy mascara to make their light eyes pop. Keep reading for all the information on Watts and Schreiber’s glam, straight from the stars themselves.

The Inspiration

Like a true budding It Girl, the 16-year-old said the inspiration for her look was “polka dot summer with a touch of grunge.”

“That’s the vibe I was going for,” she told Byrdie, adding that the final look made her feel “powerful and sleek.”

Her mom, meanwhile, noted that she always looks to makeup as a way to enhance natural beauty. What other inspiration need there be, especially when you’re this naturally beautiful?

“For my base, I always gravitate towards products that look natural, skin-like, but add a bit of radiance, which is why I’m wearing Armani beauty’s Luminous Silk Foundation,” Watts shared. “It’s the perfect product for any occasion and has been one of my favorites for years.”

Naomi Watts and Kai Schreiber’s Getting Ready Routine

The girlies got ready side by side; celebrity makeup artist Kate Synnott tackled Schreiber’s model-esque mug while Watts was glammed by Mary Wiles.”I genuinely love sharing moments like this with [my mom],” Schreiber shared.

“I love ANY excuse to hang out with my kids! I am so proud of my daughter, and her passion for fashion and beauty is inspiring. She’s taught me lots of new tricks about makeup,” added her famous mama.

According to the model, her getting-ready routine typically depends on where she’s going. Still, there’s always going to be music.

“If I’m heading somewhere fun or dance-y, I’ll put on disco or funk. For dinner or something more low-key, I go for something softer and more relaxed,” she said.

How to Get the Looks

Like mother, like daughter—both Watts and Schreiber wore their beloved Luminous Silk Foundation for the evening and tried out the brand’s new blush: the Luminous Silk Cheek Tint Shine.

“My favorite product was the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Cheek Tint Shine in 50S, and of course, the Luminous Silk Foundation in 3—it never misses,” explained Kai. After her base was set, Synnott played with the brand’s Luminous Silk Glow Setting Powder in 3, Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer Highlighter in 2, and Luminous Silk Creamy Bronzing Powder in 90 to up the ante on her stunning complexion.

To make the model’s eyes pop, she worked with the Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in 04 and Vertigo Lift Longwear Lengthening Mascara, adding a touch of Prisma Glass Hydrating Lip Gloss to her pout to round everything out.

Meanwhile, Watts was treated with the same foundation, only in shade 4. She wore matching concealer, the Luminous Silk Acqua Highlighter in shade 2, and the Cheek Tint in 62S for that perfect flush. On her eyes, Wiles applied Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow in 67S and Vertigo Lift Mascara. The berry lips were the work of Lip Power Lipstick in shade 116.
