I Tried 4 Best-Selling Briogeo Products—Here's My Review

We put several Briogeo products to the test after receiving a complimentary sample from the brand. Keep reading for our full review.

Most people have one beauty category they invest the most time and money into, whether it’s skincare, nails, or makeup. For me, it’s always been hair care. My hair is basically an accessory, and I even got my cosmetology license because I’ve always been intrigued by how a good routine can transform your look and confidence. Additionally, my aunt was a hairdresser and passed down her knowledge to my mom (whose first job was in a salon), so you could say hair care is in my roots.

One hair care brand that’s caught my attention as of late is Briogeo. The line has become popular across social media for its feel-good ingredients and nourishing hair masks, and my stylist has even recommended it to me as well. For this review, I tried four bestsellers across a full wash day, paying close attention to how my hair looked and felt before and after as well as the staying power. Read on for my full experience with a Briogeo hair routine, from the process to the results.

About My Hair: Thick, wavy, and color-treated

I have thick, long hair that I absolutely love. My hair is naturally wavy, but I’m a big fan of a good at-home blowout. I also get my hair colored, including touch-ups, every four to five months. Most of my go-to products are focused on hydration and frizz control, as my hair is on the drier side. My typical routine consists of shampoo, a conditioner or hair mask, a leave-in spray, and a hair oil: The latter is one of my favorite products and a true must-have for me.

The Products: Nourishing, gentle formulas for wash day and beyond

When testing Briogeo, I chose product categories I already use to see how they could enhance my routine. Here’s a breakdown of what I used from Briogeo and what each product claims to do:

Don’t Despair, Repair! Super Moisture Shampoo

Briogeo

This hydrating shampoo uses a gentle formula featuring rosehip and sweet almond oils, B vitamins, and plant proteins to bring back moisture and protect dry and damaged hair. I tried the 16-oz. standard size, but it’s also available in several smaller and larger options if you’re looking for a travel or value size.

Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask

Briogeo

This ten-minute mask is filled with plant proteins, algae extract, and rosehip and sweet almond oils to strengthen hair and reduce breakage. I tested the standard 8-oz. size, but similarly to the shampoo, you have several options.

Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Crème

Briogeo

This leave-in cream features rosehip, coconut, and argan oils to smooth strands, seal in moisture, and protect against heat damage up to 450°F.

Style + Treat 4-in-1 Weightless Hair Oil

Briogeo

This lightweight oil features yuzu extract, plum oil, and lamellar complex, and aims to smooth, hydrate, add shine, and fight frizz. It’s especially suited for those with fine to medium hair types.

The Routine: Wash and style as normal

Since I wanted to see how these Briogeo bestsellers would hold up in a full wash day and styling routine, I used them in the order I normally would: shampoo, conditioner, heat protectant, and finishing oil. I started with about three squeezes of the shampoo, really massaging it into my scalp. It lathered and rinsed out easily, plus my scalp actually felt clean after using it, which I loved. The product has a lightweight scent that doesn’t linger too much, making for a refreshing experience that isn’t overwhelming.

After shampooing, I applied the deep conditioning mask from root to tip, leaving it on for about ten minutes before rinsing. The texture is super creamy, and as I was rinsing it out, I immediately noticed that my hair felt soft and rejuvenated. The scent is sweet with a touch of almonds, which I loved.

Once I got out of the shower, I used the blow-dry crème on damp hair, applying it from about mid-length to the ends to ensure it would nourish and protect the parts of my dry strands that need it most. Then, I went in with my blowout brush as normal.

After my hair was fully dry and styled, I used about five drops of the hair oil. I found that it added a pretty shine and tamed some frizz, but not as much as some other hair oils I’ve tried. Similar to the other products, the hair oil smells amazing: The yuzu and plum oil give it a sweet, fruity scent. The applicator makes it easy to dispense the ideal amount of product, and the non-sticky oil spreads easily. My hair didn’t feel greasy after applying it, just smooth and soft.

The Results: Soft, shiny strands for days

Right after styling, my hair felt soft, hydrated, and smooth, and I immediately noticed it was shinier with less frizz. My hair still looked good the next day, and I didn’t need to rewash it for at least four days. Even when I went out in humidity, my hair still looked put-together. I love how each of these products works from the inside out, delivering real nourishment and repair over time while also instantly boosting softness and shine.

The hair mask was my favorite of the products I tried, but I honestly loved my experience with all four. The shampoo gave me moisture I’d been missing while truly cleansing my hair, and the mask took it even further for hydrated, touchable strands. The blow-dry crème smoothed my hair while protecting it against damage from my regular heat styling routine, so it’s a two-in-one win. While the hair oil didn’t do quite as much to smooth my frizz as I would have preferred, the formula is truly weightless, non-greasy, and boosts both nourishment and shine.

The Final Verdict: A standout quartet of nourishing products

Using these four Briogeo products together in my hair care routine definitely gave me a solid result. My favorite part was how creamy, hydrating, and protective the products felt. As someone with color-treated hair who has used so many heat tools over the years, I love how this Briogeo routine not only protects my hair in the moment, but it also helps with existing damage.

Each product seemed to complement the others well: The Don’t Despair, Repair! Super Moisture Shampoo and Deep Conditioning Mask are worth every penny for the nourishment they provide. The Farewell Frizz Crème is a great addition, especially for blowouts. Lastly, while the 4-in-1 Weightless Hair Oil wasn’t my favorite for my thick hair type, it’s a great value and works well as a finishing touch for your style.

If you’re intrigued by Briogeo but your hair priorities are different, the brand offers collections tailored to various needs, including lines focusing on curls, scalp health, damage, frizz control, and color care. No matter your hair concern, this brand has generated buzz for a reason, and its wide range of gentle, nourishing products is sure to elevate your routine.
