I’m Hypnotized By Kylie Jenner’s Twisted French Manicure—See the Photos

What’s black and white and striped… on the tips? Kylie Jenner’s latest manicure, of course! The Kylie Cosmetics founder has been keeping us on our toes with her nail art lately, and every set is more delightful than the last. Case in point: the hypnotizing black-and-white striped “twisted French” manicure currently gracing her fingertips.

The stripey set is the work of celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, who frequently works with Jenner (and her good pal Hailey Bieber). Instead of sticking to a simple pink-and-white French or swapping the white tip for a pastel shade like her sister Kourtney recently did, Jenner went bold and graphic with alternating black-and-white curved lines on medium-length, almond-shaped nails. Ganzorigt dubbed the design a “twisted French” and we have a feeling it’s going to catch on fast.

If you have a steady hand, it wouldn’t be too difficult to DIY this design; all you have to do is add a few slim black stripes to a classic French, though you could get creative and do a colored tip and lines too. Jenner’s black-and-white palette looked great with her black-and-white gingham dress and is neutral enough to match a variety of outfits. You really can’t go wrong with a French manicure, especially when you jazz it up with a simple twist of black polish.

Jenner has been giving her manicures a fun French twist a lot lately; this isn’t the first time she’s put a spin on the timeless aesthetic. While vacationing in Europe, she added shiny chrome polka dots to her mani, and earlier this year, she went short and sweet with studded pastel French tips. It’s a fun way to incorporate nail art and still feels attainable for those of us who aren’t exactly pro-level nail artists—a little whimsical, a little cheeky, but still totally Fashion with a capital F.
