Jenna Ortega Went Full Goth Siren With Bleached Brows and a Reptilian Corset

Key Takeaways
- Jenna Ortega arrived at the global premiere of Wednesday Season 2 with some spooky good glam.
- She wore a reptile-inspired corset dress.
- Her low ponytail was accessorized by a thick braid and her very own ears, which peeked through the stream of glamorous darkness.
Wednesday, July 30 was a very special Wednesday. It was the day of the global premiere of Season 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday. Wednesday herself, Jenna Ortega, was in attendance—looking better than anyone has ever looked on a Wednesday, I might add.
For the big night, Ortega and her glam team collaborated on a semi-reptilian, softly gothic, and ultra-lovely look befitting of the spooky character. Every detail was thought through, from her bleached brows to her nude manicure. Speaking of which… hands get a lot of attention in the Addams Family universe (shoutout Thing), but I’d rather talk about the 22-year-old’s hair.

Ortega’s magical hair was the work of celebrity hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez. The artist used L’Oreal Professional products for the evening, including the AirLight Pro Hair Dryer, which he called his “MVP” in an Instagram story.

Middle parted and dried mostly straight with the tiniest touch of wave, Ortega’s long brunette locks were pulled back and secured in what ultimately amounted to a low ponytail at the nape of her neck. However, the look was a bit more nuanced. Instead of clasping the waist-length strands with a clip or simple ponytail holder, the ponytail was secured with a thick, twisty, and six-or-so-inch long braid. When the braid ended, the rest of the hair was able to free-fall down Ortega’s back.

And then there was the hair tuck. Ortega’s ears peeked out of her loose locks on both sides of her head, adding intrigue and a little oddness in that special Wednesday way. The glimpse of skin added charm and a touch of mischief to the look—a trick and a treat.
Jenna Ortega’s Moody Makeup
With her canvas framed by that perfect ‘do and prepped and sculpted via Dr. Barbara Sturm skincare products and the Laduora Lumeo SkinLift System, makeup artist Melanie Inglessis got to work with a kit of Dior makeup.
The bleached brows did their work to draw us right to Ortega’s eyes, which were made moody with pearly white, mauvey, and matte gray shadow. Spidery top and bottom lashes entered the picture, courtesy of Diorshow Overvolume mascara, while the dark moody lip was Rouge Dior Contour lip liner in shade 400 Nude Line, a deep brown nude.

“DREAM GIRL,” wrote Inglessis in an Instagram post showcasing her work. Or nightmare girl, simply based on the genre Ortega is working in? Truth be told, I’d enjoy either.
