Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson Reunited in NYC, and the Photos Are Everything

Remember how on Dawson’s Creek, Dawson’s whole thing was worshipping Steven Spielberg? Well, funny story, Joey Potter, a.k.a. Katie Holmes, ended up being the director of the group, and now she’s writing, directing, and co-starring in not just one but three (!) movies with fellow Dawson’s alum Joshua Jackson, which means Joey and Pacey are basically endgame but at the movies this time.
It wasn’t so long ago that we saw 2000s network TV teen stars taking over modern day adult television, but a dramedy trilogy on the big screen is even better! Per Deadline, the three-pic story Happy Hours follows a couple, played by Holmes and Jackson, “navigating their relationship within the challenges of careers and family responsibilities and the pursuit of love, despite life’s inevitable obstacles.” More specifically it’s about “young loves who reconnect as adults,” (emphasis ours), in case you needed more proof that they are milking our collective Creek nostalgia and we ain’t mad about it at all.

“Just kiss already and tell her you’ve loved her since high school” reads the top comment on a slideshow of pictures from set posted to Deuxmoi. “Millennials needed this,” adds another, speaking (correctly) for the entire generation. And why not? Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson have great chemistry, and you don’t just waste great chemistry. There are also a number of comments hoping they fall in love For Real but um, let’s keep the sparks on screen! In any case, great to see besties being besties.
Catching up with the other members of the Creek Gang, James Van Der Beek just joined the cast of Amazon Prime Video’s Legally Blonde prequel series Elle, and Michelle Williams is Emmy-nominated for her (talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before) work on Dying For Sex. And as for Happy Hours, I wish it would come sooner. In other words, I don’t wanna wait…
