Ôrebella’s New Lychee-Spiked Fragrance Is All About “Embracing Joy”

Ôrebella's New Lychee-Spiked Fragrance Is All About "Embracing Joy"

Key Takeaways

  • On August 13, Bella Hadid’s ‘Ôrəbella launches its latest fragrance, Eternal Roots.
  • The perfume features notes of lychee, suede, and patchouli.
  • Eternal Roots is inspired by personal growth.

When Bella Hadid decided to dye her hair blonde earlier this year, it was a move that literally brought her back to her roots—the model grew up with light hair, in case you didn’t know (or hadn’t looked at her mom and big sister and suspected).

With that being said, there are so many ways to connect with our past, present, and future selves that don’t involve a bleach bowl. If you’re looking to ground yourself, might I suggest a fragrance that reminds you of who you are at your core? If I may be even more specific, I’m going to suggest Hadid’s own brand’s latest launch.

On August 13, ‘Ôrəbella is launching Eternal Roots, the fifth fragrance in their essential-oils-and-good-energy-based fragrance collection. Keep reading to learn everything there is to know about the multi-layered, grounding scent.

The Inspiration

If you know Hadid (ie. you’ve been following her on Instagram for the last decade), you know how much she cares about where she comes from. The supermodel is always expressing love for her dad’s Palestinian and her mom’s Dutch backgrounds. She also loves a baby photo.

“Eternal Roots is a tribute to personal growth and a reminder for us all to pause, reflect, embrace joy, strength, and balance throughout life’s journey,” explained the 28-year-old in a statement.

Designed with the same fun-to-hold geode shape as the rest of the brand’s scents, Eternal Roots is a pretty pink color captured inside a rich terracotta-toned bottle to reflect the scent’s grounding, woody notes. The whole setup honors the founder’s “vision of rooted strength intertwined with ethereal sweetness.”

The Scent

Eternal Roots was developed by Robertet perfumer Jérôme Epinette. Described as multi-layered, woody, and fruity, it opens with notes of fresh lychee, bergamot, and pink pepper. Middle notes include raspberry blossom, pink sugar, suede, and labdanum, and you’ll find papyrus, vetiver, birch smoke, and patchouli at its earthy base.

Like its sister scents, the fragrance features the brand’s signature shake-to-activate, bi-phase formula. It’s dermatologist-tested, suitable for sensitive skin, and alcohol free, with its sensorial power coming from aromatherapy essential oils with some specific (and important) jobs. The earthy and grounding papyrus is for “embodying strength,” bergamot infuses optimism, and vetiver root centers, “inspiring balance and calm.”

Now, go kick off your shoes, plant your feet in the grass, and start grounding. If you get bored, just sniff your wrist and get back to it.
