Oscar Mayer Bacon Recalled Nationwide Due to Listeria



  • Nearly 367,812 pounds of Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon was recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.
  • Affected bacon was sold across the U.S., with best-by dates from July 18 to September 4, 2025.
  • The USDA urges consumers to dispose of or return recalled products.

The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service just announced a recall on approximately 367,812 pounds of turkey bacon nationwide. This is due to a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The bacon being recalled is Oscar Mayer Original Turkey Bacon sold in various sizes. The following specific products, including UPC, best-by dates and lot codes, are affected:

Check your refrigerator or freezer for the above information, and if you have any affected bacon on hand, dispose of it or return it for a refund. The above products were sold at retail locations across the U.S. as well as in the British Virgin Islands and Hong Kong. The bacon is being recalled following the establishment’s laboratory testing, which indicated that the impacted products may be contaminated with Listeria.

Symptoms of Listeria infection (listeriosis) may include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, and they usually last for one to three days. However, those who are immunocompromised, age 65 or older, pregnant or young children may experience longer, more severe symptoms.
