Over 140,000 Pounds of Deli Meat Recalled Nationwide

- Seven types of bologna products are being recalled nationwide.
- The recalled deli meat may contain undeclared ingredients.
- If you have any affected products on hand, dispose of them or return them for a refund.
There’s an active recall on approximately 143,416 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna, according to the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. This is due to misbranding on multiple products.
The recalled bologna products were sold at wholesale and retail locations nationwide from March 20 through June 20, 2025. The following products are impacted by this recall, including the packaging information and undeclared ingredients in the bologna:
- Vacuum-packed packages of “FAMILY TREE BOLOGNA VEAL” containing undeclared pork.
- Plastic-wrapped packages of “BABUSHKA’S RECIPE CHICKEN BOLOGNA” containing undeclared pork.
- Plastic-wrapped packages of “FANCY BOLOGNA” labeled with pork as an ingredient but containing undeclared beef and chicken.
- Vacuum-packed packages of “GAISERS RUSSIAN BRAND DOKTORSKAYA BOLOGNA” containing undeclared beef.
- Plastic-wrapped packages of “GAISERS BOLOGNA VEAL” containing undeclared chicken and pork.
- Plastic-wrapped packages of “GAISERS TURKEY BOLOGNA” containing undeclared chicken and pork.
- Plastic-wrapped packages of “CHICKEN BOLOGNA KYPOYKA PABA” containing undeclared pork.
These products may have been sliced and repackaged at deli counters. The recall was announced following a complaint, but no illnesses or allergic reactions have been connected to this alert. Check your refrigerator, and if you have any of the recalled bologna on hand, dispose of it or return it to your place of purchase for a refund.
Those with allergies to the undeclared ingredients may experience symptoms of anaphylaxis. If you are showing signs like hives, difficulty breathing or speaking, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea after eating one of the above items, seek immediate medical attention.
