Selena Gomez’s ‘Dreamy Lilac Mani’ Is the Perfect Summer 2025 Follow-Up to Spring’s Top Nail Trend

Selena Gomez is doubling down on pastel purple nail polish.

On June 18, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik shared his latest work with the 32-year-old pop star on Instagram, revealing he used the Après Nail shade Aster Family to create her “Dreamy Lilac Mani for Summer.”

In the photos, Gomez’s soft, semi-glossy lilac nails popped against the black Miu Miu dress that celeb stylist Erin Walsh picked out for her client’s “secret project.” Of course, Gomez rocked a full face of her own makeup brand, Rare Beauty, with her signature lob flipped inward.

If it weren’t for her summery nails, I’d assume we’re looking at the next Rare Beauty winter holiday campaign, though I wouldn’t put it past Gomez to make pastel manicures trend in the dead of winter.

Despite Walsh’s Instagram caption, the “secret project” was quickly revealed to be an appearance on ABC’s upcoming reboot of the celebrity game show, The Match Game, hosted by Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short.

The so-called secret was revealed by Gomez, who shared a series of selfies from her appearance alongside Cara Delevingne, Anthony Anderson, Annie Murphy, Joel McHale, and Thomas Lennon. “I realized I didn’t post Marty lol HOWEVER thank you for having all of us on MATCH GAME on abc,” she captioned her Instagram post.
