Sofia Richie Grainge Got a Bob to Banish Her Over-Processed Hair—See the Photos and Video

Welcome to the bob life, Sofia Richie Grainge! The model and entrepreneur just got the trendiest cut of summer 2025—one you may have seen on a little show called The White Lotus.

Though some people (myself included) cut their hair off on a whim, Richie Grainge had been thinking “long and hard” about chopping her hair for awhile, as it was feeling dry and over-processed. “I’ve done one too many keratin treatments on my hair for the past six months I’ve just been cutting at it, cutting at it, hoping that I’d get this dead away,” Richie Grainge explained in a TikTok documenting her experience, lifting up her ends to show us the damage. “It’s just not going away. I know what I have to do to make this hair healthy again and it’s to start over… so we’re cutting a bob.” It was time for a “fresh start,” and Richie Grainge was ready to go all the way; she decided she did not want a lob, but a true short bob, and landed on a jawline-length French bob style cut by George Curran. And of course she documented the entire thing on video so we could enjoy watching the transformation.

Richie Grainge was thrilled with the final result. Gone was the collarbone-length blonde hair and in its place, a sleek, cropped blunt-cut bob. “I love my bob,” she said as Curran sliced and shaped. “I freaking love it.” And she wasn’t alone! After she shared pics of the new hair, White Lotus star Leslie Bibb, who wore what has become known as a “c*nty little bob” in the third season and helped make the ultra-short style a major summer trend, warmly welcomed Richie Grainge into the club. Today host Jenna Bush Hager also recently joined the crew, having had her short bob chopped on live TV by Bibb’s stylist Chris McMillan.
