Striped French Nails Are the Coolest Transition Manicure for Fall

Following a big summer for nail trends, we’re already starting to think about design ideas for fall. The latest look we’re adding to our mood boards? Striped French nails, which look just as good in the summer as they do in the fall. The past few months, we’ve seen drink-inspired manis like sparkling-rosé nails and coconut-milk nails, as well as shiny finishes like glass nails and lip-gloss nails. But as summer winds down, we’re starting to gravitate toward nail designs that transition easily between seasons.
The beauty of this trend is its versatility. Kylie Jenner recently showed off her take on striped French nails, opting for a classic black-and-white look that works no matter the time of year. Created by nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, the design features a traditional French manicure (a nude base and white tips), but with the added twist of a striped design on the tips. To help create room for the striped nail art, Jenner wore extra-long almond nails.

If black and white is a little too basic (or if you’re not ready to say goodbye to summer neons just yet), Dua Lipa recently wore a striped French nail design on vacation. On Instagram, the singer shared photos of herself on a getaway with fiancé Callum Turner. Her manicure featured a nude base with bright tips in shades like green, pink, and orange. Across each tip are dainty stripes to give the mani some extra oomph.
