Dua Lipa’s Blingy French Manicure Is So Summer-Coded

Dua Lipa's Blingy French Manicure Is So Summer-Coded

Key Takeaways

  • Dua Lipa swapped her black-and-white dotted flower manicure for a multicolored rhinestone design.
  • Nail artist Michelle Humphrey was behind the nail art, which you could easily recreate with stickers or rhinestones of your own.

What do you get a girl who just sold out three stadiums and probably already has everything? I would think flowers, but she definitely already has those—both on her dressing table and on her nails.

On Tuesday, June 24, Dua Lipa took to Instagram to share her excitement for her UK stadium shows and show off the cutest rhinestone flower-covered French manicure.

The singer has been loving the nail art lately. After showing off some dainty black-and-white painted flowers a few weeks ago, she upgraded to something similar but a little more funky. This time, nail artist Michelle Humphrey painted on some classic French tips before going in with multicolored rhinestones for some tiny retro flower designs.

Each nail received multiple flowers with regular crystal pistils (do you know your flower anatomy?) and petals in a myriad of colors. Besides some cute selfies, the 29-year-old showed off the manicure as she clutched a sign announcing her sold-out UK stadium tours and, in a separate post, danced around with her friends and fiancé. Talk about blooming.

How to Get the Look

While I certainly trust your nail art abilities enough to tell you to grab a pair of tweezers and some rhinestones and get to work, you might not feel up to all of that. That’s okay! As long as you can DIY a simple French tip, there are many ways to get the same energy going sans glue.

Deco Beauty has a set of nail art stickers with 3D rhinestone flowers so you can just peel and stick to your hearts content. Otherwise, a dotter and some glitter nail polish might be fun to play around with.

Just go in with some radical optimism—in attitude and in background music—and you’ll be good to go.
