Mrunal Thakur’s Torani sari runs three colours deep with a scalloped edge

For the ongoing festivities, Mrunal Thakur turned to a Torani sari styled by Sheefa Gilani. The look borrowed from festive tradition but refused to stay locked in it.

The sari was a study in colour play—emerald shifting into marigold, then breaking into red. Printed florals softened the georgette, while the border was the show of craft: scalloped edges dense with sequins and resham embroidery that caught light like quicksilver.

Her blouse held its own against the drape. Rendered in green, it carried dense sequined embroidery with floral motifs that echoed traditional aari and resham work. Its scalloped edges mirrored the sari’s border, creating continuity between the blouse and the drape. This interplay of texture and cut ensured that even while avowing to heritage and traditional beliefs, the outfit retained contemporary styling trends.

Joules by Radhika jewellery pulled in multiple registers. Gilded jhumkas framed her face, balanced with a kada on one hand and a floral ring. A closer look revealed a multi-stoned bugadi, paired with heavy, wide silver anklets that lent the outfit a multi-metallic harmony.
